My family went to the Masonic Hall on Granville in Vancouver on Saturday night. We went there for a dinner dance to celebrate Special Olympics.
I wore my suit; the girls thought I was “HOT”. Most of the girls wore dresses and guys wore their suits. The Hall was dercarted with red and green balloons because of Christmas.
I sat with my Mom and Dad and a few other people but I can’t remember some their names. We had a few speech’s to start this was followed by a tasty turkey dinner. We had a couple more speeches followed by dessert and coffee.
All the athlete’s received gifts, I got a very nice water bottle from Action Athletic Wear. There was a great band playing and I danced all night. The band played some older songs and a mixture of fast and slow songs. I liked the band but I prefer a DJ. DJ’s play more modern music and you can ask them to play the Backstreet Boys and a few others.
I danced with Mom and introduced her to Cheryl who was dancing next to me. Cheryl was dancing with Chris who used to be a student at Lord Byng, Chris now works and volunteers in the school cafeteria. Cheryl asked me to dance, we are good dancers. Each of us got a stuffed Santa toy to take home. All of the athlete’s also received hats mine was black.
We all had a great time. I went to the PUB after I went with my Mom and Dad.

Our Evening with the Canucks at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
Last Wednesday the 15th my Dad, myself and many other people went to the Fairmont Hotel. We were all taking part in a dinner with the Canucks in aid of Special Olympics.
Before dinner we all met the players and then we were spread out to different stations to play games.I did the table hockey with a few athletes and adults, I was the timer. My Dad worked on the dart station. He played with Matt Cooke, Alex Burrows and Josh Green. They played a match and my Dad lost. We then went for dinner.
I was sat at a table with Tommi Santala. We ate a starter but I can’t remember what it was called. We then had our main meal of steak, potatoes, asparagus and carrots, it was tasty. For desert we each had a Chocolate skate and puck- yummy!
After desert we played a game of Heads and Tails, I always called heads. The final four players went up to the stage. During the evening there was a silent auction going on, but we didn’t bid on anything. The evening was coming to a close, we decided to go the pub for a drink. At the pub we talked about how much we had enjoyed ourselves and decided we wanted to come back next year.

The Canucks Game-Halloween
The Canucks Game
I went to the Canucks game with my Daddy the game started, at 7:00pm. It was a special event because it was Halloween night.
It was at GM Place, in Vancouver, the Canucks were playing the Nashville Predators.
Markus Naslund scored the goals for the Canucks, and Jeremy Stevenson, and Denis Arkhipovare scored the goals for Nashville.
The final score was 3-2 for the Predators.
The Canucks need to work on their defense. I think the game was boring, but the best part was when I got a letter from the Overwaitea Food Group, I won a Canucks hat and Key chain, and 2000 Save On More points.
Since it was Halloween people were dressed up. I was dressed up as M.I.B (MEN IN BLACK) there was Spider Man, Super Man, and even the FIN was dressed as a Pirate.
It was a good a game, but I wish they won.

Catching Up with The Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks lost two straight games with Minnesota and Colorado.
The Canucks needs win more to make it to the post season, the two things they
need to work on is their defence, shooting ,dupping the puck and playing the puck not
the man.
The Canucks lost to Minnsota, the wild is the worst team on the ice, when it comes to the refress
they are the ones that makes the worst penlaty calls.
The Canucks lost to Colorado, their refres's penlaty calls sucks because they're not doing a good job.
The Canucks are doing a great job on passing and crashing the net and the big hits, their goaltending
is even better then last year, I think they did everything to get Luongo.

The Thanksgiving Long Weekend
It was a nice long weekend and I got to sleep in, but it was also Thanksgiving. Some people got out and window shopped. Some people may also have gone away, but I stayed home. Normally my auntie Debbie hosts Thanksgiving Dinner, even though we are supposed to take turns. So this year we actually did and Thanksgiving was hosted at our place.
There were lots of people who came. They were my Grandmother; who is my mom’s mom, my auntie Debbie who is my mom’s sister and her husband Gary who we also call “Sparky”, because of his red face and that he is loud. Also my two cousins were there. They are the son and daughter of my auntie Debbie and my uncle Gary/ Sparky. Their names are Drew and Karen. Karen is engaged and brought her fiancĂ© Andrea who is from Italy. Drew brought his girlfriend Amber, which makes it good for a laugh because my dog’s name is also Amber, so when I call my dog Amber says “I’m right here”. My dad’s accountant was also there with his wife Patty. Then of course there was my Mom and Dad and me and Amber my dog and my grandfather who was also there in spirit. So it was a full house, full of twelve people and my house is not even that big.
We ate our Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday. It was a big one. We had to wait until 8:00 p.m. to eat because of the Canucks game against Denver, which started at 5:00 p.m. Even though they lost the game we had to wait until it was over.
In the U.S on our Thanksgiving they celebrate Columbus Day which is a whole other thing.
We celebrate Thanksgiving for lots of reasons. Joey from "Friends" said that it had to do with the pilgrims and the indians and I think that it's because of the pilgrims and the indians too. The indians were in Canada first and they had lots of celebrations so the pilgrims decided to have a celebration too. The reason they decided to have a celebration that became a holiday in October was because they were farmers and they wanted to celebrate and give thanks for the harvest.
Our family thanksgiving was also a bit of a birthday celebration, because of all my family being together. My family surprised me with some gifts. I got a brand new watch that shows the time, the date and the day. I like it very much. My mom’s mom; my grandmother, gave me a native art box that shows an eagle on it. It adds to my native art collection, which I’ve begun to start. My grandmother was in good spirits and she said that she’s looking for some pictures of me when I was born.
Overall it was a great day full of family, laughs, good food and good times.

My Birthday
My Birthday
Monday October 2,06 was my 18th birthday, “ A BIG MILESTONE”. I was born at 12:08am on a Sunday at Children’s Hospital.
I came to School and saw my buddies and one of my teachers and they wished me a happy birthday. It was also a special day for Susan because it was her wedding anniversary.
Around 7:30 it was a shock to see me Aunty and my Uncle, they were waiting for us at Dentry’s. I had a “CANUCK BURGER” and a few cokes, next year I will be having a “GUINNESS” because I will be hitting a bigger “MILESTONE” which is 19.
This Sunday I’ll be going to my Aunties house in Langley to celebrate my birthday, My Grandma my Daddy and Mommy my Aunty and my Uncle and Cousins will be there. First I’ll be opening gifts, then we’ll be having dinner.
I think 18 is going to be a great year because I’m graduating and I”ll be able to vote.

The Vancouver Giants Game
On Saturday September 23rd 2006 at 7:00pm, at the Pacific Coliseum,
The Vancouver Giants played the Chicago Winter Hawks, opening the Pre Season for the WHL / Western Hockey League. I thought it was a great game, I went to the game with my buddy and my Daddy.
When we got our seats they raised the banner to celebrate the 2005 06 Western Conference Champions, the Vancouver Giants. I thought it was a good way to open the season. Cody Franson scored the first goal Brett Festering scored the second goal Craig Bonner scored the third goal and Dustin Slade
was great in goal. The final score was 9-0 for the G- Men, and they played their hearts out at the Pacific Coliseum, I thought It was a great game, the best part was the “SHUT OUT”, which means Dustin Slade let no goals in the net. This was exciting for the Giants fans, but disappointing for the Winter Hawks fans. During the game because of the high score, Giants fans were chanting we want 10, we want 10, and I said we want 10, we want 20 we want 30 we want 40. When I said we want 30 I got the thumbs up from this guy in a Red Wings jersey. After the game going to the car the fans were excitied and in a good mood.It was a great game to open the season.
