The Start of Something New

Starting this last weekend, I have the opportunity to write about the UBC Thunderbirds basketball team and have been invited to sit at the press table while I do this.

This is my wish - to be a sports reporter and thanks to UBC I get a real jump on this.

I thought it was a great game, and UBC played well. It was a tight high scoring game, both teams had great defencive skills, they also played great offence and awesom shooting. The final score was 85-77 for UBC. The player of the game, was Matt Rachar and he was on his best game.

The Playoff Race

The Playoff Race

The Vancouver Canucks beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-0 at the Bell Centre. The Canucks have been playing great this year. The Vancouver Canucks record ( 26-19-1) if they make it up, they will make it to the playoffs. The last time I saw the Canucks play Montreal, back in November 30th 2000 and we beat them 4-3. I was happy to see Markus Naslund and Willie Mittchell get their 1st goals with the Canucks, I was glad to see Naslund scoring again. I hope to see the Canucks in the Stanley Cup Finals.
